California Junior Scholarship Federation (CJSF) is a national junior society that recognizes students’ academic efforts and highlights community service as a way of being better people and making a visible difference in society.
The benefits of participating in CJSF each trimester:
Provide leadership and community service opportunities on/off campus
Prepare students to join high school clubs and organizations with strict requirements
Be recognized at 8th-grade promotion
Membership is on a trimester basis, so students will need to reapply each time; Membership qualifications begin in the third trimester of 7th grade.
Requirements include maintaining a minimum of a 3.6 GPA and completing 5 hours of community service (3rd trimester of 7th grade and 1st trimester of 8th grade) and 10 hours of community service (2nd and 3rd trimester of 8th grade).
