Art Vistas painting

Art Vistas is a volunteer-led art education program that exposes students to art history and technique. The program helps to encourage critical thinking, cultural exposure, open dialogue, and artistic experimentation, helping our students increase their creative skills and confidence.

Anyone can teach Art Vistas, no experience in art education or teaching is needed. It’s a wonderful opportunity for parents and caregivers to increase their own creative skills and confidence! It also allows them to get to know their student’s classmates and teacher more and spend time on campus getting to know the school.

Art Vistas provides lesson plans, project templates, and instructions. The art supplies are provided by the school. The program is taught over 6 grade appropriate lessons that take about one and a half hours, we recommend doing one a month from September to March (missing out December because it's a busy month for everyone). At the end of the year, the students' art projects are displayed at an Art Show at Open House.

Thank you for your interest in Art Vistas. This program is run entirely by volunteers, and funded by Latimer Home & School Club. It would not be possible without your help!  See more information about our Art Vistas here
