Absence Reporting

Please select an option below to report an absence or tardy for your student.

If you have more than one student that will be absent from school, please fill out the form for each student.

If your student will be missing school due to an appointment, we ask that you provide the front office with a note from the provider.

All absences must be reported to the Latimer front office by a parent or legal guardian.

Absences must be reported to the office within 24 hours, or your student will be marked as Unexcused.

If your student will be missing school for the day, please report as an absence.

If your student will be missing any part of the morning from school,

but will be attending school for any portion of the day, please report as a tardy.

All absences, excused or unexcused, count toward chronic absence. Chronic absence is defined as missing 10% or more of school. This is 18 or more school days in a school year or one day every two weeks of school. Research shows students who miss an extensive amount of school days are academically at risk. If you would prefer to call in your student's absence, you may use the 24-hour attendance line. If you have informed your child's teacher of their absence, you MUST ALSO inform the office.

Messages are checked daily and in some occasions, follow up calls are made to listed contacts in Aeries.
