Latimer’s Elementary (TK–5) and Middle School (6–8) handbooks outline the shared expectations, supports, and daily routines that help every student learn and belong.

All grade levels reviewed the handbook together in class during the first weeks of school. Please use the links below to open the handbook for your student’s grade band and keep it handy throughout the year. Key topics include: schoolwide AVID practices (organizers, note-taking, planners), attendance and absence reporting (how to report, excused/unexcused, tardies), arrival and dismissal procedures and traffic safety, PRIDE behavior expectations and supports, technology use and digital citizenship, health, safety, and wellness guidelines, dress code, communication—who to contact for help, and, for middle school, activities, athletics, and eligibility.

We encourage families to read a few sections together (especially AVID routines, absence reporting, arrival/dismissal, and technology guidelines) and talk about what these look like at home and at school.
