Latimer's New Parking Lot is Open!!

After months of construction, we are very excited that our new middle school building and back parking lot will be open after the February break! We would like to encourage families with children in grades K-3 to continue to drop off kids in the front parking lot, and grades 4-8 to drop off in the new back parking lot. PLEASE NOTE: THE EXIT FROM THE BACK PARKING LOT IS RIGHT TURN ONLY ON TO LATIMER AVENUE. We'd also like to ask that K-5 students make sure to walk around the new buildings, and please NOT cut through the middle school quad area. Our middle schoolers have been waiting a long time to have their own special area on campus, so we would like to reserve this area just for their use. Thank you for your support with this!

Latimer Read-A-Thon

Are you ready to READ with Whoo's Reading?  Latimer's 3rd Annual Read-A-Thon fundraiser is in full swing!  The Read-A-Thon began on Thursday, February 1 and will end on Thursday, March 1.  There will be a morning assembly on February 16th where the teachers will perform a Reader’s Theatre skit for K-5 students. For the month of February, students will log their reading minutes on the Whooo's Reading website.  Just like our Walk-A-Thon, students will be able to ask for sponsors and the kids will raise money for our school.

Calling All 8th Grade Parents!

June will be here before we know it and we want to make sure our first graduating class wraps up their Latimer experience in style! To make sure the end of their year is both fun and successful, we will need a team of dedicated parent volunteers to help plan, coordinate and facilitate a spring dance, the 8th grade field trip and the end-of-the-year 8th grade picnic.
There will be tasks and jobs both big and small to help with these fun events, so please let us know if you can help by signing up here: Latimer 8th Grade Event Planning or by contacting the front office at 874-3600. We look forward to hearing from you!
