Are you ready to READ with Whoo's Reading? Latimer's 3rd Annual Read-A-Thon fundraiser is in full swing! The Read-A-Thon began on Thursday, February 1 and will end on Thursday, March 1. There will be a morning assembly on February 16th where the teachers will perform a Reader’s Theatre skit for K-5 students. For the month of February, students will log their reading minutes on the Whooo's Reading website. Just like our Walk-A-Thon, students will be able to ask for sponsors and the kids will raise money for our school.
Read-A-Thon Incentives:

Elementary Incentives:
-The class with the highest number of students that have sponsorships will win a Kona Ice party after lunch one day
-The class with the most money raised will win a pizza party after lunch one day
-The top 15 earners in the elementary grades will get to play in a Staff vs. Students Kickball game
In addition to these prizes, students will have the opportunity to earn raffle tickets for more rewards!
-For every 5 Sponsors invited, students will receive 1 raffle ticket
-For every $20 raised, students will receive 1 raffle ticket
Raffle items include: 5 more spots for the Staff vs. Students kickball game, Latimer Spirit Wear, and gift cards to Target, amazon.com, Yogurtland, Barnes & Noble and more!
Middle School Incentives:
-The class with the highest number of students that have sponsorships will win a Free Choice period with their core class
-When Middle School reaches their goal of $1000 raised, they will earn a Staff vs. Students Dodgeball game
In addition to these prizes, students will have the opportunity to earn raffle tickets for more rewards!
-For every 5 Sponsors invited, students will receive 1 raffle ticket
-For every $20 raised, students will receive 1 raffle ticket
