Our Latimer Middle School Leadership team are leading “Pennies for Patients” as a community service project. The drive will run through October 20th. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s School & Youth Programs give students an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others by collecting spare change to save lives. Your student will receive their collection box where they can collect dollars, checks, and loose change. All money must be turned in by October 20th. Thank you in advance for helping your child understand how they are saving lives just by turning in a few dollars. On a personal note, one of Latimer’s very own teachers, Mrs. Julie Reid, is a lymphoma cancer survivor. During her cancer fight, Mrs. Reid directly benefited from a medication which was funded in large part by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We are so happy to say that Mrs. Reid has been in remission for 6 years!
