It’s that time of year! Our Annual Future Chef Competition is back!!! All 3rd through 8th grade students are invited to share their "Favorite Main Dish (Entree) Recipe". 7 lucky winners from Moreland School District will be chosen as finalists to compete in our live contest at Moreland Middle School on March 5, 2025. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners of our competition will receive special prizes, and the winner of this event will be entered in the Future Chefs National Challenge for some additional great prizes!

Student Chef Presentation to Judges
Finalists will be formally invited to a Culinary Competition “Cook-Off” on March 5th 2025, tentatively scheduled for 2-4:30pm.
All Finalists will receive a framed plaque, a special gift, recipe book of all finalists’ recipes, chef coat, apron and hat.
Parents and teachers are invited to view, encourage and taste the product as students cook during the reception portion of the event.
Transportation will not be provided on the day of the competition ( March 5th). The kids will need to be dropped off and picked up at Moreland Middle School Cafeteria .
Each group of kids will have a kitchen staff member assigned to help them ensure that there are no safety issues. This will ensure that safe food and preparation practices are followed and that no one gets harmed.
As an added bonus, our competition is just one of multiple local competitions Sodexo will be orchestrating nationwide in March. The winning recipe from each event will be entered to win a national competition in April. More details will follow, but we’re lining up some great prizes for those that are chosen to receive national recognition!
