Moreland Opportunities for Recreation & Enrichment  (M.O.R.E.)

M.O.R.E. stands for Moreland’s Opportunities for Recreation and Enrichment and we are excited to launch this new program this year!  Under our M.O.R.E Program, Moreland School District offers before and after-school child care, after-school enrichment classes, intersession camps, and summer programs at some and/or all school sites.  Programs operate throughout the school year.

The California Legislature has approved ongoing funding for the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP). In conjunction with the After School Education and Safety (ASES) Program, the Moreland School District is able to provide free programs for students who meet specific criteria including English Language Learners, Socio-economically disadvantaged, and Foster youth through our Moreland Opportunities for Recreation and Enrichment Program (M.O.R.E).

Please take a moment to fill out our interest survey. If you have more than one child in the district, please complete a form for each additional child. Completing the form indicates that you are interested in receiving more information about the district's programs but does not obligate or guarantee your student's placement in a program. Paper interest forms are also available at your school office. If you need assistance in completing this form contact our program supervisor, Gizzele Linayao at [email protected] or (408) 874-3479.

After school enrichment programs will begin at all school sites the week of January 3. Registration information for these classes will be sent out to parents in the Weekly News. The registration window is December 5 - December 14 and can be done by scanning the QR code on the flyer or by completing paper registration forms sent via Aeries Communication or found in your school office. Please note that spaces are limited. All families will be placed on a waitlist upon registration.  You will receive a notice if your student is placed in the class, no later than December 20. Financial assistance may be available for families who qualify and parents must complete a School Meals Application to be considered for financial assistance. Parents will be notified if they qualify.

This information can also be found on our website
