Welcome to Kindergarten at Latimer School! We’re excited to embark on this new adventure with you and your child. Kindergarten is a special time for growth, learning, and making new friends.
Our program is designed to support each child's intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development. To create balanced classes, we consider factors like age, readiness, behavior, and maturity. That’s why we’d love to meet our new students before school starts.
Join us for a Kindergarten Welcome Session on Thursday, August 8th, at either 9:30 AM or 11:30 AM in Room 2, inside the Kindergarten play yard. While your child is being screened, parents will attend an informational meeting in the Library. Each session lasts about 90 minutes.
To sign up for a time, please visit the Latimer Kindergarten Welcome Session Sign Up form. Your child should only attend one session. During your child’s session, you will meet in the Library for an informational meeting with the Principal, Hilary Gill and Assistant Principal, Larry Lopez.
Before the session, please fill out the Kindergarten Questionnaire and bring a recent photo of your child that we can keep. This information is helpful to our Kindergarten team.
If you anticipate needing after school care, please contact the Latimer Extended Day Supervisor, Rodrigo Martinez at [email protected]. Please know that space fills up quickly and it is best to sign up as early as possible.
If you need help signing up for a session, have any questions, or your enrollment plans for the 2024-2025 school year have changed, please contact our school office at 408-874-3600 or email Mrs. Hammer ([email protected]). Our office is closed from June 28 to July 31, but you’ll receive a reminder of your selected time in August.
We also invite you to a Kindergarten playdate on Wednesday, August 7, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Hathaway Park. This is a great chance to meet the Kindergarten team and new families!
We look forward to an amazing school year with you!
Warm regards,
The Latimer Kindergarten Team
